WOW, did not know we were still up and running? Anyway-thanks, it has been nothing short of amazing this past year. A quick run down from memory goes something like this. 1 National Champion, 3 ALL-Americans, 2 of which where 2x AA. 2 State champions, 1 undefeated State champion who was wrestler of the year in his state. 3 kids going D1 next year. Record setting performances for a Catholic School Wrestler. Not to mention all the qualifying champions and County place winners and champs.

I feel we may just do better next season too!!!

The wrestlers who trained at the EMPIRE this past year have set all new standards for exellence! I have never witness or heard of such improvement in a group of kids in my live.

This is the epitome of "The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat"...simply the most amazing match. Duckham never stopped wrestling and deserved this win! Raghunandan was too cocky!

I also had the honor and pleasure of working for LHW with Bill at the UE Duals, Eastern States Classic, and the NYS Tournament. A true gentleman and a tireless worker....best of luck in the future Bill. I'm sure our paths will cross! Mike Carey

Lighthouse brought a new level of coverage to New York Wrestling. They did a very admirable job in all aspects. Thank you to all who have worked so hard to bring us this site. One special thanks goes to Coach Ellinger for giving us valuable information on strength training and related stuff. His ability to impove athletic performance is second to none. Good luck to all

This is a sad day, and I was hoping that somehow it would not come. I guess what they say," All good things must come to an end" is true.

I want to thank Bill for giving me the great opportunity to write about what I love. I remember it like yesterday when he told me about starting the site.

It was because of him that my long time dream of writing articles was finally realized. I want to thank him for that and all his help and good advise.

I think for the most part, the message that I was trying to send with the articles was accomplished. You need to train hard, on a good basic program. This will establish a base to build off.

Don't get caught up in all the hype and fads that come down the pike all to often. I believe that the athletes who have trained with me over the years have proven this formula works.

You can see for yourself in the videos at my new site theironempire.com.

Thanks in part to Lighthouse, The Iron Empire will be sending its best group of Wrestlers every out onto the mat this year. I want to thank you all for reading and your support.

Also my articles from Lighthouse will be posted alone with some new stuff if you want to check it out.

Thanks again, and as always feel free to contact me at ironwill@optonline.net Coach Ellinger

Ditto, Stan was my coach and English teacher as well. He's the first guy I ever saw driving a Volvo, back in the early 70's. A prince of a man, always kind and with a sharp wit. He helped my dad greatly supervising the large squads we had in those days. He was also a personal and loyal friend. I trust Stanton Bishop is resting in peace with His Lord...
