As the 2010 season emerged from the holiday recess the first wave of the Section XI tsunami rolled into Union-Endicott and as anticipated left destruction in its wake.

It’s always exciting heading up to Albany to see the New York State high school wrestling championships. Long Islanders are used to being leaders at the annual state wrestling party.

It was another quality final at Stony Brook and now we need to take a look back at the matches and also look at who may be getting wildcards and a trip to Albany.

Another question being asked as we approach the beginning of the 2009-2010 Suffolk County wrestling season is the location of the county tournament. Will the tournament be held at the familiar SUNY Stony Brook facility this year instead of deep into section 8?
