Great day of duals for the B-cats yesterday, as we went 3-0 to extend our record to 7-2. The guys have all shown flashes of brilliance 1st semester, and it was nice to be able to showcase our skills in front of former Coach Steve Erber as well as prominent alumnus Billy Baldwin. 7-2 with our lone dual losses coming against traditional powers Nebraska and Michigan State is no small feat- and we still feel that our best wrestling is ahead of us this year.
Yesterday, the Bearcats kept up with the early season grind, heading to Penn State to take on some of the best wrestlers in the NE. The team continues to show improvement as hard work is paying off for many young Bearcats.
Your BU Bearcats were in action yesterday at the prestigious North East Duals held in Troy, NY. This event attracts many of the best teams in all the land, and boasts to be “the best wrestling east of the Mississippi.”
The first two weeks of the season brought many success for the Bearcats. It also showed growing pains associated with having a young lineup.
