Who and What We Are

With the wrestling season upon us, I would like to offer some words of wisdom to all of the warriors who will be battling this season.  These words will not be advice on cutting weight, in-season training, or anything else related to strength and conditioning.  The paragraph you are about to read is something that can be kept in your back pocket for the duration of the season.  This is not written as a pep talk because those of us who have chosen this way of life do not need that.  This is merely a reminder of who and what we are. Conditioning Considerations for Combat Sports Such as Wrestling

A wrestler since the eighth grade, I can still remember the feeling I had walking off of the mat after my first match in high school. I felt like I had gotten run over by a truck (which was ironic because I think I actually won by decision) and someone had set my lungs on fire.
