Section XI Individual and Tournament Team Rankings 11-04

This is the forth release of the Section 11 individual and tournament rankings.

This is the forth release of the Section 11 individual and tournament rankings.

For the tournament team ranking, actual tournament points were calculated as if the rank was the position wrestlers would finish in the section tournament. For dual rankings, head-to-head results were used where possible. Many teams are not reporting their results on either LIWA or NWCA Online.

For tournament team rankings, the attempt is to identify the outcome of the section 11 tournament.

  1. Just wanted to clarify that you did an overall good job on these rankings and whoever said 119-125-130 were awful, after all was said and done, only 2 of 18 were not top 6 in the county. Congratulations on having a great ‘opinion’.

  2. thanks Thomas….final stats were 56 of 60 semifinalists were in my top 6 rankings. 77 of 90 top 6 ranked wrestlers were in top 8. I also had 24 of 30 finalists ranked in the top 3. So I know how easy it is to hate on rankings, but you don’t know how much work it takes to do them until you dactually do the top 6 in every weight.

    1. “you don’t know how much work it takes to do them until you actually do the top 6 in every weight.”

Amen to that my friend. It’s very hard to appreciate until you do them. For section VIII, this year was particularly difficult with so many wrestling at 3 weights and results sparsely reported.

Just wish some didn’t take it so serious. We do the best we can, and we evaluate every team and every wrestler. That requires lots of time.

And of course, the wrestlers always have the last word on the mat, and that’s exactly how we like. I love when the wrestlers surprise us.

  3. how come warren bocsh wasent ranked??? he ended up winning the states! and giaramita is better then abbodanza and abidin also ened up a state champion and you ranked him third?!?!
