Section VIII Individual; Dual and Tournament Team Rankings (11-01)

This is the first release of the Section 8 individual; dual meet and tournament rankings.

This is the first release of the Section 8 individual; dual meet and tournament rankings. Until the results permit a more accurate ranking, we will be ranking the top 3 competitors at each weight only. Wrestlers that could be among the top 6 but did not meet the criteria for top 3 are identified with Honorable Mention. At most we will identify 8 wrestlers as Honorable mention and less if results do not distinguish 8.

For tournament team rankings, the attempt is to identify the outcome of the section 8 tournament. As we’ve seen historically, performance at tournaments is uneven based on the size of the tournament. For example, teams winning the team standing at states often do not win smaller tournaments.

  1. If you see it differently, send us the results that demonstrate your rank. I can tell you from pouring through the results that there are few wrestlers having 5 or more winning results at a weight.

  2. ok at 119 mongumery is going to win.
    with barbato second.
the next 4 spots are up for grabs between 4 wrestlers oral allen, alex bossert, chris arroz, and greg haft.
but watch out for qumain thomas, brandon drexler, kenny albert, and sam ward.

is lofrese really 119 b.c hed prbally take 3rd if he is.

  3. This weekends Ted Peterson Tourney features alot of very interesting matchups. some seem to be county semi-final and final previews. I look forward to seeing if Ng will tear thru Salbrey and Manna again as he did in the uniondale duals.
