MacArthur will compete with Spencerport and Niagra-Wheatfield: Group A. This pool will see the co-number 1 (spencerport), number 5 (MacArthur), and number 18th (Niagra) competing.
Sayville will compete with Chenango Forks and Valley Central: Group B. This pool will see the co-number 1 (Chenango Forks), the number 13 (Valley Central) , and honorable mention (Sayville) competing.
John Glenn will compete in the only four team pool: Group C. They will meet Minisink Valley, John Jay, and Greene. This pool will see the number 3 small school (Greene), number 3 (John Glenn), number 17 (Minisink Valley), and honorable mention (John Jay) competing.
Brentwood will compete with Union-Endicott, and Fulton: Group D. This pool will see the number 9 (Union-Endicott), Number 12 (Fulton), and number 16 (Brentwood) competing.
Some may argue that one pool is easier than one of the others, but with the hammers scheduled to compete this weekend, there is no easy path to the finals. The tournament organizers did a nice job of spreading out the top 8 teams, as well as separating the 4 Long Island teams on the first day.
