Section VIII Tournament Team Rankings for 2009-2010

All Section VIII Division I teams are ranked for tournament competitiveness for the 2009-2010 season. To rank the teams, the following factors were taken into consideration.
- Returning all-county place winners were evaluated.
- Returning qualifier place winners were evaluated.
- Section and qualifier performance of returning wrestlers held preference.
- Teams with better tournament performance were given higher preference than teams with similar numbers of returning wrestlers.

I honestlety dont see how you can rank plainedge 18th. They have finished in the top 6 or 5 for the past like 8 years. Shaver always puts out a competitive team no matter what. Last year they had 1 returning all county kid and they still managed to take 2nd in dual meet championships and 6th in the county tournament
Just a note, they have some work to do, but Locust Valley is Division 1 this year… Im not sure where they would rank, i would hope not last…
