2009-2010 New York State DI Power Ranking
A power ranking of the top 25 New York State Division I high school wrestlers for the 2009/2010 season. A power ranking formula was used to compare performance across weight classes. No subjective information was used to rank the wrestlers except for arriving at the power point system which was applied the same for each wrestler.
The formula weights the following factors for each wrestler:
- Points are awarded for performance at state tournaments only.
- 2009′s state performance is more heavily weighted than performance in previous years.
- A formula is used to weigh the strength of each weight class. Weight class strength varies from year to year. Weight classes have different weights, but generally, lower weights have less weigthing than higher weight classes.
- Only wrestlers who have placed in state tournaments earn points.

We at LHW are very much aware of Lance….Scott Green has spoken highly of him…We expect him to have a great 2010 campaign.
You forgot about Ricky Bronson, Jordan Barrnett, Tyler and Ryan Lusht. All Chenango Forks wrestlers.
Derek, This ranking is entirely formula driven. The factors included are number of all-state titles with the most recent having the most weight and strength of weight class, which is also formula driven. Juniors have an advantage over under classmen.
