This is the Seventh and final release of the Section VIII (Nassau County) individual rankings. Wrestlers have been ranked at the weight classes they competed at in their qualifying tournaments.
Day one results from the EIWA championships at the Stabler arena on the campus of Lehigh University, PA. This is updated with Round One results.

At approximately this time of year, every year, the same thing happens. A great deal of people begin to talk about training. Coaches will tell me their team needs to get stronger!

what a night—awesome job—-didn’t see Vito Mundo,Coach Cat, Danny Wetzel,Tony Boch and numerous others stop to breathe all night——next year–8 mats with large fans on perimeter to keep mats dry—mandatory pre-registration—-and for real seniors–one thirty second period with defibs and emt’s close by—phenomenal job

Philip Mattera of Deer Park,N.Y. 1982-83 2X Hofstra University E.C.C Champion 150-158LBS, 47yrs old,wrestled in the tournament at the 250lbs Senior Division(Tied for 1st Place)), was Ted DiPasquale’s H.S Teammate & Captain/ Hofstra University Teammate & Captain and good friend of the Downey Family.
We are all very proud of his performance!
