Chris Edmond of Tennessee and local hometown Section VIII champion from Freeport defeats Peter Capone 14-10 to win the 1985 NCAA D1 championship at 167 lbs. This is an exciting bout where Chris Edmond takes an early big lead but needs to fend off Petes attack to pervent it from nearly slipping away.

My brother Carl had to beat IT teammate John Felice for that final match to become county champ that year.. many good matches..
