It was a great weekend for the Big Red. We had a doubleheader on Saturday, starting with a 1 p.m. match at Hofstra, and then culminating in a 6 p.m. Ivy League faceoff at Columbia. Over the course of the day, our guys only gave up eight offensive points.

These rankings ignore some of the finest wrestlers in suffolk county in division II. Does it make sense to ignore this division because the number of students in the entire school is lees than division I?
Anyone see this Anglickas kid from Southampton at 215lbs. and tell me he doesn’t belong in the top 8. Sorry kid, your from the lowly ranked divison II. Give me a break.
James, For Nassau and Suffolk power rankings the DII wrestlers were not included, but they were included in the All State and Separately in the All State DII rankings.
At the end of the season when I recalculate the power rankings for Nassau and Suffolk, I’ll look to include DII wrestlers too.
here’s the thing though James….while Anglickas seems to have great potential for this year…D2 or not, he is not deserving of being included in the Power rankings since they are based upon accomplishments, and he has not accomplished anything as of yet. Maybe after this season he makes it. Is he a senior?
